Choose an export for the job
Use Settings → Data export and import for portability tools. A readable CSV is useful for reviewing task rows in a spreadsheet. A full versioned data package preserves a richer representation for recovery and transfer.

Map and preview before importing
Choose the input, map its fields, and review the preview. Check dates, labels, assignments, and any losses or unsupported values before applying.
A restore uses the package format and its verification steps. Exporting a file alone does not prove it can be restored. Keep the export receipt and review the import or restore result.
Review scope and calendar feeds
Exports include only content your current role can export. Whole-plan exports and authorized task exports have different scopes.
Review a calendar feed’s scope before using its subscription URL in another app. Keep private feed links private and revoke or replace a feed when its access should end.
