YOUR ACCOUNT

Connect tools to your own work

Understand the API, command-line tools, MCP connection, and scoped credentials.

Choose a supported connection

The product includes a versioned API, a command-line client, an MCP data-operation server, and an inspectable tool skill pack. These tools work with the same tasks, plans, and permissions as the app.

Tool access is for operating your authorized work. Room to Plan does not choose or run an AI model for you. Any external assistant or runtime is configured separately. Hosted availability follows the current test environment.

Create a limited credential

Open Settings → Tools and API to review credential controls. Choose the resource scope and permissions required by the connection. A newly created token is shown once; store it in the tool’s normal protected credential location.

Revoke a credential when the connection no longer needs access. Keep tokens out of messages, shared documents, source files, and screenshots. Revoking a tool credential is separate from signing out a browser session.

Use the same previews and permissions

External tools use current authorization, record versions, and the same preview/apply behavior as the app. An old preview or changed task can require a fresh read and preview.

Review the current API contract and the supplied tool instructions for exact operations. This handbook explains the connection model; implementation names and endpoint details belong in the versioned API reference for the environment you are using.
