Write the context and the next steps
Use notes for context, decisions, and instructions. Add checklist items for small steps inside one task. Use subtasks when a step needs its own assignment, dates, or project relationship.
Review the checklist and the task status separately. A plan can also use completion checks that require certain checklist items or field values before a task can be marked complete.
Attach a file
Open the task file controls and choose the file you want to attach. Watch the upload and scanning states. A file becomes available when the app confirms it is ready.
If an upload fails, use its retry controls. A blocked or failed scan is a different state from a completed upload. Check the shown limit or error before choosing another file. Access to an attachment follows the authorized task context.
Connect related information
Add a URL when the reference lives elsewhere, or link a related task when another piece of work provides useful context.
A task link gives someone a way to open a task they are allowed to see. Use Share to grant access to a new person. Copying a link into a message does not grant permission to its destination.
